Pulse proteins and flours are fine powder materials made from milling of de-hulled pulses especially pea, lentil, fava bean and chickpeas without using any processing aids or chemical compounds. Thanks to air-classification and de-flavouring technology, there are several different types of pulse proteins and flours available in terms of protein and starch content. Pulse proteins and flours are food ingredients, generally used to increase the protein content of diets without altering flavour and colour properties.
Pulse proteins offer excellent solutions with high-quality amino acid profiles. The blending, water absorption and emulsification properties of pulse proteins make them an excellent solution for many food formulations including biscuits, cakes, extruded snacks, breads, meat and dairy products and fruit juices.
Pulse flours can be used as a high-protein, high-fibre and low-fat ingredient in foods without increasing the cost. Pulse flours are increasingly being considered in low glycaemic index formulas to promote general health and reduce the risk of illnesses. They are low in fat, high in protein and are an excellent source of both soluble and insoluble fibre, complex carbohydrates, B vitamins and minerals (potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, copper, iron and zinc).
High Viscosity Pulse Flours (V-6000 series) offer excellent heat stability and binding properties in many formulations with high starch content. The viscosity, gel formation and texturizing properties of V-6000 series make them an excellent natural solution for many applications including cakes, biscuits, breads, bakery products, soups, and snacks. V-6000 series are available in Yellow Pea, Lentil, and Fava Bean flour varieties.

Pulse fibres also offer quality solutions with excellent water and fat binding properties. The viscosity, yield improvement and texturizing properties of pulse fibres make them excellent natural solution for food formulations in bakery products, snacks, breakfast cereals, breads and meat products.
